I am very happy to use this symbol..
Ps: it took quite a longer tym to get downloaded .. ver 3.0.. .. , best wishes n keep going .. :)
like this
I followed the above instructions to the T. Do we also have to go to a temple/mosque/church and pray to the almighty that this should work?!
Download the zip file, extra the ttf file.. right click and open font viewer.
Now click on install to install the font.. now you are done.
Open OpenOffice, select this font and press the ` key (above tab) to put the symbol.
If you release your font under an open source license, we would highly appreciate.

It would be better if the font can be directly integrated to the regular fonts say Ariel or the Times New Roman instead of having to change the font type.
press the key above TAB i.e. "~" and click the rupee font option simultaneously.
and
its done :)

iam alwaes using this font

In this font, the rupee sign is mapped to Unicode Rs symbol, so if the font is not present in the PC where a document containing this symbol is viewed, then the old Rs sign will be shown, which is better then showing a accent sign in place of Rs sign.
plz check the link.
it is best that you all will also say after using it.
it uses shift+4 to give the Rupee symbol. and " ` " gives the Dollar symbol.
it is easy to use as it is typer friendly and good looking.
Thank you so much.
Is it not possible to get this in "unicode font" so that we can use this symbol in websites.

Could you please let us know what the license of the font is. Once the license is known the whole world would soon be able to use your beautiful symbol.
To get most people to use the symbol, please use one of the free font licenses available.
they should not insists Hindi to other language people,it will affect our unity.
so i hate this symbol.the symbol should be common to all language people.
Also try to create a format which can use in calculation; (to add or multiply digit which has given the rupee sign)
Thanks
1. the edges of the symbol have been chipped off, that is not how the original symbol is.
The slanted edges are an important factor of our indian script (lippy).
2. the sharpened end at the left end of the circular part is also not done correctly, the correct way of drawing it is to maintain the slanting of the edge parallel with respect to the top two lines.
hope to see a corrected version...
thank you for such a work
best wishes to u become part of indian history... & my family are very happy about this sign

Follow the instructions printed below:
1. First of all type the Rupee symbol using the Rupee font in a document.
2. Copy this to your clipboard.
3. Go toe the Microsoft Office Menu : Insert ==> Auto Text ==> Auto Text … ==> AutoCorrect

You have done a great job
thanks for the font
I think the font installer doesnt works on windows 7
but i am able to use the font alone
Thanks for the rupee font. Great work there. But would you upload a zip file instead of rar?
rar requires additional software app which may or maynot be there on your viewers PC.
And yes, the symbol (₹) does not work here. Please let me know if the symbol does not appear box-like to any of you.
Please use it . " MY INDIANS"
For example, if I am using Times New Roman or Arial Narrow, can I still use the Rupee symbol?
kyon ki aaj india bhi apni shaan bdhali hai.
jai hind jai bhart.
keep it up. i m really impressed
I kind of am looking for silent installation of this, is it possible
Thanks -Sumanth
