Foradian welcomes CoolBond

(download)

We have some exciting news - Foradian just acquired CoolBond, the sms channel venture of a 16 year old boy Ajmal.

CoolBond maintains 6 sms channels which has a total subscriber base of 2,10,000 all together. The largest of them - "CoolBond" is a google sms channel, which has got around 45,000 subscribers waiting daily for the technical tips and updates.

Ajmal KK is currently studying in plustwo at GHSS Pazhanthottam, Ernakulam, Kerala and he setup his venture using only a second hand mobile phone Nokia 5310 which he bought from his friend. He doesnt own a PC and he access internet from the gprs configured handset.

Foradian is not planning to introduce major changes to the working of the sms channels. Ajmal is appointed as the CEO of the CoolBond and he will continue his normal system and process with the channels. We believe Ajmal is one of the youngest CEOs of the world and may be the youngest in Kerala or India. Since this is his final year of Plustwo, we want him to concentrate more on his studies also.

CoolBond SMS channels will be slowly integrated to the Foradian ecosystem and we are expecting explosive growth from the SMS marketing through these channels. Ajmal and CoolBond will currently focus on increasing the subscriber base by providing quality and valuable SMS to its subscribers.

If you want to subscribe to CoolBond sms channel, sent ON COOLBOND to 9870807070 now.

You can contact Ajmal on twitter. He is new to twitter. Sent your wishes to @AjmalCoolBond

Guys, nice approach.
Although I don't like the symbol, for me it looks more Chinese than Devanagari.
But for you my compliments, very easy to use from very first version, working in all application (including Windows 7),wherever I can choose font.

Thanks for the good work.
I managed to change my currency in Excel also.
You can do it by :
Start==> settings ==> control Panel ==> Regional and Languale options==>
Regional oprtions==>Currency
then change the $ to `

Now you can enter the numbers in Excel and change th font to Ruppe and
Format the cell to Currency.

Excellent work, but when i tried to incorporate the symbol in the currency setting under control panel-regional settings in XP, the grave accent symbol appears rather than the rupee symbol. Can anybody tell me how to solve this issue.

Thanks for supplying the new Rupee symbol free. Of the 9 major unicoded Brahmic scripts of India (i.e. BN, DV, GJ, GM, KN, ML, OR, TL & TM) Only 3 have unicode ascribed to their currency sign viz. BN, GJ & TM. Of these, the GJ rupee sign is not to be seen in any of the Unicode Gujarati fonts currently available. I feel, till we get a Unicode ascribed to the Indian Rupee sign, we can use the GJ code-point U+0AF1 for displaying the rupee symbol. Several Unicode fonts are available from the Govt of India http://tdil.mit.gov.in/ Somebody needs to include the Rupee symbol in all these fonts of all the Indian languages. Could you take up the challenge?

Darn good job. Congratulations. I made out a letter with this sign and emailed it to my son. It appeared as dots in what he received. I have not tried printing it, as i don't have my printer yet. Is this deficiency ascribed to 'unicode'? Good luck guys, and all good wisehs. Jolly good show, well done.

A flaw is observed when saved the file to the font’s folder

The Latin small letters symbols in character map toll, all are over lapped with the rupee symbol in my word.

Does it happening to every one?

In Microsoft Word you can include AutoCorrect to automatically replace the Rs. with the rupee symbol whenever you type Rs.

Follow the instructions printed below:

1. First of all type the Rupee symbol using the Rupee font in a document.

2. Copy the Rupee symbol to your clipboard.

3. Go to the Microsoft Office Menu : Insert ==> Auto Text ==> Auto Text … ==> AutoCorrect

4. Enter Rs. in “Replace:” field

5. Paste the Rupee symbol in the “with” field, from your clipboard

6. Click Add button.

That is it… Whenever you type Rs. in Microsoft Word it will be replaced with the new Rupee Symbol.

If you don’t want the auto conversion simply press Control+Z immediately.
